A series named after the natural satellites in our solar system. This one is CARPO, a moon of Jupiter. I’m making these in four sizes…only our moon will be in the largest size. This piece is the smallest size.
Hand textured black stoneware clay wall sculpture with a variety of textures, with various underglazes. The piece has been fired to 1250 degrees C. As the design is all the way around the piece it makes a great piece for a coffee table or the wall. The back is concave with a picture wire for hanging. (Photo of hanging method is an example.)
