The Great Pottery Throwdown

There are so many of the challenges that I would struggle with…definitely the throwing challenges! I do have a wheel, and really must get practiced with it again. It is one of those things that takes a long time to get anything near creating something of quality. It’s definitely harder than it looks! Anyone you see effortlessly pulling up a pot from a ball of clay, spinning on a wheel head, has had many hours of hard work to get to that point. It’s something I should really put some time into.

Something from this week’s episode, that I think I could make a good effort on, were the gargoyles. I won’t buy a new clay…and the porcelain is far too floppy and delicate, but I might have a go at making a mini gargoyle with the black clay I’ve been using.
